International Baseball Partners (IBP), updated its plans for the proposed Johnny Vrutaal Baseball Complex in the Curacao capital of Willemstad. IBP president, Mike Powers said the Vrutaal project remains the top priority for the Orlando, Florida based company. “We are committed to bringing economic stimulus for the people of Curacao who have been hard hit by the global health crisis. We believe our proposal to update the Johnny Vrutaal complex with a state-of-the-art baseball stadium that easily converts into a multi-use entertainment facility is timely and accomplishes many goals.”

The Vrutaal project includes minor league seating at the historic stadium, corporate suites, locker rooms and an indoor training facility. Additional value is proposed with an anchor hotel and convention center, condominiums, popular themed restaurants and retail stores, and a tourist grabbing sports museum. IBP’s architectural team is headed by Thomas Dinneny, a well-known professional with over 35 years experience in project design, master planning, conceptual, schematic design and design development. He has built baseball stadiums around Latin America including the acclaimed Edgar Renteria Stadium in Barranquilla, Colombia. Powers added, “With the gifted team we have assembled, we are convinced the Vrutaal project has the potential to bring the world to the shores of Curacao.”
